What is State vs. State?

State of Power โ€” usually called SvS โ€” pits two states against each other. The event has preparation and battle phases, and the winning preparation state gets the enormous strategic advantage of taking the castle fight to the other state's map.

Cookie Factory version: SvS is not one day. It is a savings plan, a five-stage spending plan, and then a PvP day.

๐Ÿงบ The real SvS starts before SvS

The strongest preparation is simply not spending everything the moment you earn it. In the weeks before SvS, build a reserve of flexible resources.

  • Construction, Research and Training Speedups
  • Stamina cans
  • Hero Shards โ€” especially non-General shards that the live scoring table accepts
  • Chief Gear and Chief Charm materials
  • Essence Stones and Hero Widgets
  • Pet materials once Pets unlock
  • Fire Crystals once your state reaches that progression
  • Gems for planned scoring activities

๐Ÿช COOKIE RULE

Don't spend a valuable resource on Tuesday if the game pays you for spending the exact same resource on Thursday.

๐Ÿ“… Preparation Phase

Preparation uses five scoring stages. The exact point table changes as states age, so the active in-game Event screen is always the final authority. The recurring pattern is:

Stage 1 ยท City Development

Usually centered on development resources such as eligible speedups, Chief Charms, and later Fire Crystal progression.

Stage 2 ยท Development + Hero / Gathering

Common scoring includes Lucky Wheel, eligible Hero Shards, gathering, and development resources.

Stage 3 ยท Beast Hunt

Beasts, Polar Terrors, Lucky Wheel, Hero Shards and Pet development are common scorers. This is why we save Stamina cans.

Stage 4 ยท Troops & Hero Gear

Troop training or promotion commonly scores here, along with Essence Stones, Widgets and Chief Charm progress.

Stage 5 ยท Power Boost

A broad final stage often accepts several development categories at once. It also lasts longer than a normal 24-hour stage in the standard SvS schedule.

Before spending anything rare: open the live SvS scoring table and make sure that item scores today.

โš”๏ธ Battle Day

Once cross-state travel opens, players can enter the opposing state and enemy Chiefs can enter yours. City attacks can cause real troop losses, unlike safe battlefield events such as Foundry.

๐Ÿช If you are NOT actively fighting

Shield. A beginner who protects their city is helping the state by refusing to become easy kill points.

๐Ÿช If you ARE fighting

  • Follow state and alliance calls.
  • Do not solo into targets you have not scouted.
  • Keep the Infirmary under control.
  • Batch-heal when alliance help is active.
  • Do not stay unshielded while you are away from the game.

๐Ÿฐ Why winning Prep matters

The state that wins preparation attacks the losing state's Sunfire Castle while its own castle is protected for that SvS. That makes preparation more than a leaderboard exercise โ€” it determines where the main fight happens.

๐ŸŒฑ What should a newer Cookie do?

You do not need to be the biggest Chief in the state to help.

  • Hit personal and alliance milestones efficiently.
  • Save resources for the right preparation stage.
  • Join properly called rallies.
  • Reinforce when asked.
  • Shield when offline.
  • Do not feed enemy players easy kills.

โš ๏ธ Common SvS mistakes

  • Emptying the backpack the week before SvS.
  • Using Stamina cans before Beast day.
  • Spending Hero Gear materials on the wrong stage.
  • Assuming General Hero Shards score when the live table specifically excludes them.
  • Going to bed unshielded on battle day.
  • Chasing kills instead of following the coordinated objective.

๐Ÿช The Big Lesson

SvS rewards patience before the event and discipline during it. Save first. Spend on the correct stage. Fight when called. Shield when you cannot respond.
